The third common training and meeting of the participants of the Erasmus+ Sport Project

Table tennis players from Serbia and Poland met in Drzonków for the third meeting as part of the project “Para table tennis as a tool for social integration of people with disabilities”, funded by the European Union from the Erasmus+ Sport Programme.

Meeting Agenda (Drzonków, 05-12/07/2023):

07/05/2023 – Arrival at the Zbigniew Majewski’s WOSiR Center in Drzonków.

06/07/2023 – Two table tennis training sessions. Common analysis of games from international competitions.

07/07/2023 – One table tennis training. Observation of horse riding training.

08/07/2023 – General development exercises and games and activities. Swimming pool classes.

09/07/2023 – Trip to the market square in Zielona Góra.

10/07/2023 -International table tennis match Serbia vs Poland.

11/07/2023 – One table tennis training. Pool activities.

12/07/2023 – End of the training camp.

Meeting summary:

The third meeting and training of Polish and Serbian table tennis players, as part of the project “Para table tennis as a tool for social integration of people with disabilities”, funded by the European Union from the Erasmus+ Sport Programme, took place on July 5-12, 2023 in Drzonków.

The project aims are: social integration and activation of athletes with disabilities through table tennis.

Together with Serbian coaches, Polish coaches have conducted para table tennis trainings. At the end, they played an international match Serbia vs Poland.

During all training and meetings, participants are learning new forms of warm-up in table tennis from physiotherapists. Stretching is always performed at the end of the class. During table tennis trainings, the players improved specific technical elements: mainly regularity – service and topspin. Together they analyzed individual tactical elements for various playing styles. The coaches always met after training to establish common concepts for the next training days.

In addition to table tennis trainings, the participants of the Project meeting also took part in general development activities, such as games and strength exercises. They also enjoyed activities at the outdoor swimming pool. They also had the opportunity to observe horse riding training. As part of the cultural program, they visited the city of Zielona Góra.

All goals of the common training and meeting were achieved.
